Stewardship & Placemaking
Responsible Stewardship starts with recognizing, understanding, and appreciating what makes something notable, distinctive, memorable, rare or exceptional - its "Genius" - and then protecting, nurturing, enhancing, and celebrating them so it reaches it's greatest potential.
Exceptional Placemaking is about recognizing, understanding, and appreciating those things that make a place "Genius" - it's "Genius Loci" - and then nurturing, enhancing, and celebrating them to create thriving environments that inspire, strengthen community, and foster elevated experiences.

Scott Peters, PLA, ASLA
Principal, Sr. Landscape Architect
Scott is an award-winning Landscape Architect dedicated to creating projects that address user needs, celebrate the essence - the characteristics - that make places unique, and that push beyond sustainability to enhance the environment, enrich quality of life, and enliven the human experience.
He shares with his clients the leadership, experience and expertise gained over 30+ years of professional practice across 150+ large-scale, multidisciplinary projects for both public and private clients throughout the western U.S. and internationally. His portfolio spans planning and design of communities, resorts and private clubs, parks, trails, downtown redevelopments, civic spaces, campuses, mixed-use developments, regional flood control facilities, power generation and transmission infrastructure, and mine reclamation and redevelopment, as well as environmental planning, permitting, and compliance management.
A strong advocate for meaningful stakeholder engagement, integrating public outreach into the planning and design process has been a key aspect of Scott's work.
"I’m fortunate to collaborate with incredibly talented, smart, and creative individuals with diverse experiences and expertise to create and see built places that address challenging problems where people can experience nature, find peace, improve health, connect, share experiences, find strength, and be inspired."
